Officially recognized by the City of Baltimore in 2018, Baltimore Black Heritage Week is an Annual Observance and Celebration of Black Heritage, Culture and Business in Baltimore! During this annual celebration of the Black experience, citizens of Baltimore are encouraged to support Black owned businesses, community organizations and creatives, and to participate in activities that reflect Black history and culture - here in Baltimore City and throughout the Diaspora.
This 3rd Annual Observance will begin on Sunday August 11 and extend through Sunday August 18. Throughout the week, we will encourage celebration of ALL aspects of the Black Experience - from Black Music, Black Film and Black Literature to Black Food, Black Art, Black Innovators and Black Visionaries - and highlight efforts to support the mental, physical, spiritual and economic health of Black Families.
